MUTOH’s new XpertJet 1641SR Pro II is a 1.6-m-wide eco-solvent inkjet printer, equipped with the new AccuFine HD Pro print head. According to the company, the single-head, four-color (CMYK) printer combines the AccuFine HD Pro printhead, which features eight rows of closely spaced ink-jetting nozzles, with the newly developed i-Screen EX print control system. Together, they provide high-definition ink placement and smooth gradation expression, delivering what MUTOH describes as outstanding image quality. The company says the new model achieves a print speed of 189.8sqft/hr in Production printing mode, placing it among the top performers in its class of four-color printers.

The printer’s original wide colour-gamut profile, MUTOH Wide Color Choice, expands the range of color reproduction, particularly in darker tones, and enhances the vividness of reds and the depth of blacks. Additional features include automation tools such as DropMaster 2 and Feed Master for automatic bi-directional adjustment and media-feed correction; Media Tracker for roll-media management; and Nozzle Area Select, which allows continued printing even if a nozzle is clogged.
