Mutoh has won the prestigious EDP Award, attributed by the European Digital Press Association (EDP), for its ValueJet 1638UH hybrid LED UV printer in the category ‘Best Flatbed/Hybrid Printer’ up to 20sqm /hour. The EDP awards are attributed annually by a panel of independent print industry professionals appointed by the European Digital Press Association. Technical Committee’s opinion on the awarded VJ-1638UH said the ValueJet with LED UV is a product category on its own. Mutoh managed to speed up the production with two LED UV lamps on a wide variety of rigid and flexible materials, including heat-sensitive substrates. Offering print resolutions up to 1440 x 1440 dpi, the printer utilises VOC-free inks CMYK, white and varnish.’
