Mothercare to unveil its Dark Stores in India

Mother and baby care retailer Mothercare plans to bring its Dark Stores to India. The UK-based company boasts of its large warehouse that can either be used to facilitate a ‘click-and-collect’ service whereby a customer collects an item they have ordered online. The company aims to follow an omni-channel retail model in India. And also in the plan is to open some small format stores in the country as part of their retail expansion strategy. The new stores would be opened through all kinds of partners—franchisees, dealers and distributors, in the untapped Tier II and Tier III cities. As long as the retail sector in India is now gradually flourishing with the opening of new high-end stores of big MNC brands, signage companies are privileged with this development offering good new projects on in-shop branding, fabrications, designs, etc.
