MIMAKI Engineering has introduced a new UJV100-160, a roll-to-roll UV-curable inkjet printer – with maximum width of 162cm, available in limited areas from March 2020. With two newly developed heads, the newly unpacked UJV100-160 offers high quality, high productivity and stable operation as a UV-curable inkjet printer. The UJV100-160 is capable of printing on a wide variety of materials, including not only PVC and tarpaulin but also paper with no acceptance layer, PET film, and fabric, is enabled. Value-added print such as two-layer print, in which white ink is used for transparent PET film, and varnish print using clear ink, can also be handled.
For ink set for UJV100-160, there are three selectable variations—CMYK, CMYK+W, and CMYK+WCl. A combination of a ‘white’ ink with superior concealing capability and the spot colour ink of a shiny clear ink allows you to use this printer in various applications, from printing on transparent/coloured media to highly creative varnish print. In addition to NCU (Nozzle Check Unit), NRS (Nozzle Recovery System), and MAPS4 (Mimaki Advanced Pass System) functions that enable stable and high-quality print, a new DAS (Dot Adjustment System) is featured in UJV100-160, with which conventional manual dot position correction and feeding amount correction are automated, reducing burden on operators.
