The luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz is pursuing a ‘15 in 15’ strategy under which the company plans to open 15 new dealerships in India and launch 15 new products for Indian markets, according to a company source. Mercedes-Benz India registered a 41 per cent growth by selling 6,659 units in the January-June period. The carmaker’s production facility is spread over 100 acres in Chakan, near Pune. It has an installed capacity to produce 20,000 units a year. Sundaram Motors is the dealer for Mercedes-Benz based in Mangaluru, having opened Mercedes-Benz outlets in Bengaluru, Coimbatore and Madurai. And Mangaluru is the latest addition in southern India. Signage players engaging in in-shop branding, designs and related tasks will get a fresh business opportunity with projects revolving around in-shop branding, designs, displays, etc.
