McDonald’s plans mega-expansion in south and west

Hardcastle Restaurants Pvt Ltd, the development licensee for the southern and western markets for McDonald’s in India, is planning to invest close to Rs 400 crore in these regions in the next two-three years. The company moved out the joint venture with McDonald’s last year to become a development licensee which means that they are in a robust phase of expansion. During the course of this year, Hardcastle will take McDonald’s to Kerala with its first outlet at Kochi and Coimbatore markets.

The company will invest close to Rs 200 crore in the Southern market and double the number of outlets in the region from 53 by 2014-15. Mega expansion of McDonald’s in the west and south will be an added business advantage for the signage players in involving in jobs for such big restaurant chain and others.
