Max Fashion India is planning to open 35 new stores during the financial year 2016-17. According to a source from the company, after unveiling a logo to mark the 10th Anniversary Celebrations of the company, 135 new stores across 50 cities will be unveiling by the current financial year with a turnover of Rs 1800 crore. Last year, it posted Rs 1400 crore turnover. The company is now focusing on contemporary middle-class and youngster, as 30 percent of the business is now coming from the 18-25 age group. Plans are underway to set up about six exclusive youth format stores in major cities and this will be an added business advantage for the signage companies dealing in in-shop designs, branding and related activities.
