India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki is planning to ramp up its service centres by a massive 1,500 outlets by 2015 in line with its expansion of production capacity to over 17 lakh units annually. This enhancement is expected to result in additional employment of about 22,000 people by the service network operators. The company currently has 2,784 service points and it is planning to increase it to over 4,200 outlets in the next five years, a jump of more than 50 percent. Increase of the company’s service outlets would make new opportunity to the business of signage players, in in-store domain.
