Lite Bite joins hands with HMSHost for airport outlets

Dabur scion Amit Burman’s Lite Bite Foods (LBF) has formed a JV with HMSHost, a United States-based highway and airport food service firm, to develop and operate outlets at domestic and international airports across India. LBF will own 49 percent in the JV Lite Bite Foods HMSHost while HMSHost will own the controlling stake. The partnership will capitalise on the strong reputation that HMSHost has developed as a leading provider of food and beverage. In India, HMSHost already has F&B contracts for Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Lucknow airports while LBF has F&B concessions at Terminal 2 of Mumbai airport and Terminal 1D and T3 at New Delhi airport. LBF owns quick-service restaurant brandssuch as Punjab Grill, Street Food by Punjab Grill and Bistro Cafe Baker Street.  Signage players must gear up to tap such business opportunity ever emerged in the sector, which will lend them fresh projects on in-shop branding, displays, designs and related activities.
