Footwear major, Liberty Shoes, is planning to enhance its footprint across the country by tapping Tier II towns in the coming months. The company is looking at adding 100 new stores to the existing 350-store network which includes 100 company owned stores across India. Most of the new stores being planned would be company owned stores and would call for an investment of Rs 40 lakh to Rs 50 lakh per store. The company is focusing on the southern regions, such as Madurai, Puducherry, Tiruchy in Tamil Nadu, Mysore, Hasan, Hubli in Karnataka and in Kochi. Liberty’s such mega expansion plan is a new business opportunity for in-store signage companies as well as others like PSPs, fabricators, etc.
