Eyewear retailer Lenskart has seen a record shift in consumer shopping behaviour, with 90 percent of sales currently coming from the online channel, aided by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite this, the company is one of the few brands to expand offline retail stores. It plans to open more than 300 new stores as state-wide lockdowns are relaxed, taking the total to over 1,000 stores. Lenskart has more than 720 stores in India. Prior to the pandemic, Lenskart would see around 60-65 percent of sales from online and offline is now the company’s main focus area of expansion. Such retail expansion move of the company is a new business opportunity for signage companies whose activities involve in in-store branding, graphics and such activities.
