Kalyan Jewellers, a leading jewellery chain in south India that counts actors Mammootyy, Prabhu and Shivrajkumar as brand ambassadors, has planned 21 new stores and double turnover to Rs 6,000 crore by 2011. The company also announces its entry into Andhra Pradesh with the first store and signed popular Telugu film actor Nagarjuna as brand ambassador for the state. Opening of new Kalyan Jewellers stores in the state will be an added advantage for the region’s signage companies engaging extensively in works in retail segment.
