Japanese lifewear retail brand Uniqlo has made its debut in the Indian market with the opening of its first store at Ambience Mall in Vasant Kunj at New Delhi. The store is sprawled over 35,000 sq ft over three floors. The brand will also be launching two more stores in DLF Avenue, Saket and DLF CyberHub in the coming days. Uniqlo, established in Japan in 1984 and present in 23 other countries with 2,200 stores, aims to work with Indian producers and strengthen its sourcing base in India. The company’s line-up has global silhouettes and created using different techniques such as Heattech, AIRism, Ultra Light Down, Ultra Stretch Jeans and more. Arrival of the high-end Uniqlo store in India is a new business opportunity for the signage companies whose activities involve in-store signage and display projects.
