Bharti Realty, a part of the Bharti Group, has joined hands with France’s upmarket departmental retail chain Galeries Lafayette for opening stores in India. Family-owned Galeries Lafayette, which has its flagship store in Boulevard Haussmann in Paris, operates stores in several countries and is currently on an expansion spree in China and other parts of the world. Bharti Realty, the real estate arm of Bharti Group, has also held discussions with Cupertino based tech giant Apple for what could be the iPhone maker’s second flagship store in the country to be located at Aerocity in New Delhi. Such retail expansion of Bharti Realty bringing up high-end international retail brands is a new business opportunity for the signage companies engaging in in-store design, display and other related tasks.
