Hundreds of companies from more than 40 countries have already booked out 96 percent of the 1.7 million square feet of exhibition space for drupa 2020 to be organized from June 16-26 in Düsseldorf, Germany. The growth potential of inkjet will be one of the major focuses at the world’s biggest print show. Sabine Geldermann, Director of drupa and global head print technologies of Messe Düsseldorf, said that it has become very clear that the fascination of print products increases with the constant development of technical possibilities. Future and cross-sectional technologies and in particular global megatrends have a major influence on the industry: applications for organic and printed electronics, nanotechnology and all further developments resulting from ‘industry 4.0‘ which will affect a large number of processes.
In 2020, in addition to printing and converting processes, the focus at drupa will be on package printing, industrial and functional printing and additive manufacturing. Especially the growth potential of inkjet and expansion into new areas drives fast changing innovation. The drupa 2020 exhibitors’ list contains all of the key players in the global wide format market, including: AGFA Graphics, Canon, Durst, EFI, EPSON, FUJIFILM, HP, Konica Minolta, Mimaki, Mutoh, OKI, RICOH, Roland DG, and Xerox.
