A year after signing a JV agreement to run stores under the Massimo Dutti brand, Tata-owned Trent and Massimo Dutti, Zara’s sister brand, are yet to open more stores. The Zara and Massimo Dutti brands are owned by Spanish retail conglomerate Industria de Diseno Textil SA (Inditex). An executive of the JV said the chain wanted to open stores in top locations/malls. It has been planned that the JV will invest Rs 10 crore through two years to open five Massimo Dutti stores. Signage companies including PSPs, fabricators, sign makers, etc engaging in in-shop designs, displays and related activities will gain a new ground for new business opportunities with the opening of such new Massimo Dutti stores.
