Increasing interest of global chain like IKEA in the Indian market will give signage companies new business opportunities in projects on in-shop branding, displays and other related activities. This Swedish furniture maker has signed an agreement with Karnataka government which may lead to it setting up its store in Bengaluru. A source from the government mentions that IKEA is planning to invest upto Rs 500 crore. IKEA has asked the state government to allot 10-acre plot in the city for its outlet and outlets of IKEA spread more than 120,000 sq ft.
