Global home furnishings retailer IKEA will open its second store in the country in Navi Mumbai in January 2019 with an investment of around Rs.1000 crore, according to a source from the company. The new store in Mumbai will be spread across 4,30,000 sq ft and is expected to employ 700 direct co-workers and another 1,500 for providing services including assembly, and delivery, the company indicated. And the company is all set to open its first store in Hyderabad in early 2018. Now that the growth and development in the retail sector have been quite evident in the retail domain, which is yet one of the sunshine domains for signage players engaging in in-store display and branding projects, this is indeed an opportunity to be tapped.
