Swedish furniture retail major IKEA has started hiring in India as it gears up to open its first store in the country by 2017. The company has earmarked Rs 10,500 crore investment for the country to open 25 stores over a decade and has already acquired land in Hyderabad where it is most likely to open its first store. IKEA’s plans are now on the table for starting in India, according to e source from the company. It is happening and (there) would be more and more people. Such venture can have in between direct and indirect employment of more than 2,000 people as around 700 people would be employed in the store. This is one of the golden opportunities for the signage companies dealing in in-shop branding, designs, displays and related tasks.
