IKEA eyes 25 stores in 10 years in India with huge investment

World’s leading furniture retailer IKEA announces its plans to invest Rs 12,500 cr to set up 25 stores in India over the next 10 years. The new stores, each needing investment of around Rs 500 crore, will come in the cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Ikea India has already got FIPB nod to invest Rs 10,500 crore. The company will mobilise around $500 million more from its global partners for investing in the new expansion move. Signage players having been engaged in in-shop displays, designs and related activities in the retail segment will get added benefits from such new expansion move of IKEA.
