HP uses PrintWorks/VIIE Show to launch its new high speed DesignJet Z6200 printer. With a top speed of 140 sq m per hour, the announces a new benchmark for quality and speed in the photo printing world. HP claims that the end products are more than suitable for signage with up to one year permanence without lamination. The unit is available in 42 inch and 60 inch models and with print resolutions of up to 2400 x 1200 dpi.
New water based Vivid Photo eight colour inkset include the Chromatic Red which is claimed to broaden the colour gamut considerably and enhance the rich blacks. True to the other Z Series, this model includes a built in spectrophotometer which enables quick profiling for various media changes. HP introduces industry’s fastest production photo printer at PrintWorks 2010.
