Havells India Ltd has planned to invest Rs 1,500 crores in five years, including Rs. 360 crore in the AC manufacturing unit under its Lloyd’s brand and store expansion. The air-conditioner unit coming up in Ghilot in Rajasthan, about 100 km from Delhi, will be operational by March 2019. The company’s exports have also been picking up and stand at nearly 15 percent of the turnover of around Rs. 20,000 crore. On network, Havells India is gearing up to add more stores in Telangana and AP where there are approximately 1,000 stores are currently operational. This is yet another business opportunity for the signage companies engaging in in-store branding, graphics and such activities.
