Global restaurant chain Amritsr enters India with first outlet in Mumbai

Amritsr, a leading global Amritsari cuisine restaurant chain with a footprint across Thailand and UAE, has entered the Indian market with the launch of its first restaurant in Mumbai. The brand, known for its focus on authentic flavours sourced directly from Punjab, has opened a 3,500sqft outlet in Andheri, marking its expansion into India after operating in Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, and Dubai. Founded in 2018, Amritsr was created to address the gap in authentic Amritsari cuisine outside Punjab. Key ingredients – including masalas, desi ghee, mustard, saag, and soya chunks – are procured from Amritsar to maintain consistency across its global kitchens. The Mumbai launch is supported by two delivery kitchens in Bandra and Andheri, enabling island-wide delivery. Arrival of Amritsr outlet is literally an arrival of new business opportunity for the signage companies whose activities involve in in-store graphics, displays, and such tasks.
