Gitanjali plans to double retail store presence

Gitanjali Jewellery Retail plans to more than double the number of its branded jewellery retail stores across India by the end of the 2012. The company has 70 outlets pan-India, of which 90 per cent are franchisee-run and the rest company-owned. The company’s new idea is to have 150 stores with a carpet area of 2,500-4,000 sq ft, each with an investment of Rs 10 crore to Rs 12 crore, by the end of next year. Doubling of Gitanjali stores is indeed an unmatched opportunity in which signage companies dealing with in-store displays and signs in this sector will get new business get-up.
