German fashion brand Tom Tailor plans to open 55 stores in India

German fashion brand Tom Tailor has chalked out long-term plans for the Indian market, aiming at opening 50-55 stores in three years to compete with the likes of Tommy Hilfiger, Jack & Jones and Vero Moda. Having launched four stores in Delhi-NCR, Bangalore and Pune, the company will open another four by the end of next month in major metros and is eyeing a revenue of about Rs 500 crore in five years. Besides, an investment of about Rs 80 crore is also lined up for opening over 50 exclusive stores in three years and 300 shop-in-shop (SIS) stores. Tom Tailor’s retail expansion plan in India is a sunshine opportunity for the signage companies with the knack of in-store branding, graphics and such projects.
