GAS steps on mega retail expansion in India

Italian denim brand GAS has sketched out massive plans of retail expansion and a turnover that exceeds Rs 50 crores. This year, the direct subsidiary of GAS Jeans, plans to take its count of five retail points to 11 and then to 30 on completion of its three years of its re-launch in India. The company is coming up with new stores in Chandigarh, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Chennai and Pune. Started in 2010, the company’s strategy was to reach 12 stores in three years. Once they reach those numbers, GAS will take up the next stage of expansion. Expansion of GAS’s presence in the Indian retail sector will be an added advantage for the signage companies engaging in in-store displays, designs, fabrications and other related activities.
