Casual fashion brand GAP plans to open around new standalone and ten additional shop-in-shop stores this year in India with a goal to cross the Rs 1,000 crore revenue mark soon. The company’s franchisee partner in India is Arvind Lifestyle Brands. At present, GAP has 13 standalone stores in the Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Pune, Chennai and Indore, apart from 15 shop-in-shop stores in multi-brand retailers in tier-II and III cities. The shop-in-shop format was debuted in India in February this year. The brand recently entered the Kolkata market with one dedicated store for adult fashion. GAP’s constant expansion plan is a new business opportunity for the signage companies handling in-store branding and graphic projects.
