Chennai-headquartered toy-maker Funskool is looking ahead to expanding its retail footprint in the country with own stores, particularly in Tier-II cities. While the company at present has 13 stores (including one for Lego), the plan is to take the number of standalone stores to 25 by March 2017. Set up in 1987, Funskool is promoted by the MRF Group. Expansion plan of Funskool in the new arena (Tier-II cities) will be an added business opportunity for the signage companies whose activities revolve around in-shop branding, designs, displays, among others.
