Fiat to open 22 exclusive outlets in India this year

Leading Italian car-maker Fiat, which operates in India through a 50:50 partnership with Tata Motors, plans to set up 22 exclusive showrooms for Fiat cars this year, primarily in big cities in 2012. The company, which is currently working on a plan to launch a small car in the country, recently rolled out new, upgraded versions of its existing Linea and Punto models.  The focus this year of the company is to expand its dealership network across India. At present, the 50:50 joint venture between Fiat and Tata Motors has a network of 167 dealers across India. Rapid expansion of Fiat’s dealers across the country would be an unmatched business opportunities for the signage players, such as PSPs, fabricators, sign makers and others engaging in indoor/in-shop signage and displays.
