FESPA Africa 2020 postponed to 2021

FESPA Africa 2020, co-located with Africa Print and Modern Marketing, which was scheduled for September 9-11, 2020 at Gallagher Convention Centre in South Africa, has been postponed to 2021. This decision was taken due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, restrictions on international travel, and the event industry being closed at the moment in South Africa with no clear indication if it will reopen before the planned dates. The planning for these events involves a significant amount of time for both organisers and exhibitors, who in some cases import equipment to showcase and have representatives from their manufacturers on their stand, stated a source from the organiser.

The decision has been made to cancel this year’s expo and reschedule a new date in 2021 to ensure the event will have the due planning from all sides to make it a success. The number of online registrations the expo had for 2020 indicates that the industry is looking forward to the next event. That’s why the organizer is working on other opportunities to host interactive, dedicated audience sessions for companies later this year. Right now, whilst they wait for approvals and the event industry to open up, they create a great digital media platform to give fantastic exposure.
