Home and lifestyle brand Fabindia is set to expand its retail footprint in eastern India with 10 new stores. This is the first such facility offered by the company in eastern India. At present, Fabindia has 13 experience centres across India. The centre in Kolkata is spread across 10,000 sqft. The typical investment for such centres is Rs 3,000-Rs 3,500/sqft. In addition to the brand’s signature offerings across garments, organics, home and personal care, the experience centre at Kolkata houses a FabCafé, an interior design studio, organic wellness centre, alteration studio and a kids’ zone. Fabindia currently has 298 retail stores across 105 cities in India and 14 locations abroad. The company’s retail expansion plan is indeed a new business opportunity for the signage companies that indulge in in-store projects.
