EPSON production facility achieves Platinum Recognition

Located in Suzhou New District of China, EPSON Precision Suzhou production facility has achieved Platinum Recognition under the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Validated Assessment Program (VAP), based on audits conducted by RBA-approved and independent third-party firms. Platinum recognition is reserved for facilities that have closed all Priority, Major and Minor findings and received a final ‘full’ VAP score of 200. All audits towards delivering this score are performed by independent, RBA-certified, third-party organisations that assess compliance with the RBA Code of Conduct in critical areas such as labour practices, health and safety, environmental standards, and ethics.

The score is also a reflection of EPSON’s significant commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) within the global supply chain. Since joining the RBA in April 2019, Epson has embraced its responsibility to achieve the highest standards in CSR by voluntarily undergoing rigorous VAP audits at its primary production sites. EPSON’s commitment to responsible manufacturing is further underscored by successful VAP assessments across a number of other EPSON sites in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, China and the Philippines, with several also achieving the Platinum status.
