Crocs decides to double stores in India

US-based premium footwear brand Crocs announces that it will double the number of exclusive stores in India this year and also enter into licencing agreements for accessories, which will be launched shortly. The Nasdaq-listed company, which entered the domestic market in 2007 under a joint venture with Chogori Footwear, also said it is looking to increase its presence in the multi-brand outlets with an eye to tap the small town market. At the moment, the company has 21 stores and planning to increase the figure to 40 stores by the year-end. Onset of the new Crocs stores in the country will be an added advantage for the signage players engaging into the in-shop displays, branding and others.
