Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport to become shoppers’ paradise

Shoppers have something to cheer about as Mumbai airport or Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is soon going to get a much better and larger duty-free shopping area at Terminal 2, which is under construction. The exclusive duty-free shopping area will be allotted for electronic goods at the upcoming Terminal 2. Goods such as chocolates and liquor, among other things, are sold duty-free at the airport currently. The Mumbai airport, which is one of the busiest airports in Asia, is expected to ferry over 40 million passengers every year once the terminal becomes operational by next year. And the airport’s new face with the provision of duty-free shopping facility would bring in the fresh business opportunity for the signage players engaging in in-shop/airport displays, designs and other related activities.
