The Chennai Angels (TCA), an angel investors group has announced an investment of Rs. 2 crore in the city-based chai retail chain, Chai Kings. Started as a single store in Kilpauk in late 2016, Chai Kings currently has 8 stores in Chennai offering varieties of exotic tea ranging from milk, black, herbal and ice tea in flavours such as ginger, masala, sulaimani, dum, lemon and hibiscus. According to a source from the company, this funding process will be used towards adding retail stores and to strengthen its service operations and this store expansion move of the company is a fresh business opportunity for the signage companies engaging in in-store branding and graphic projects in the sector.
