Apparel company Cantabil is investing around Rs 25 crore to open 110 new stores in 2020 to take its total store count to 400. The investment will be done primarily to open stores in tier II and tier III markets across the country. Currently, Cantabil has 80 percent company-owned outlets and 20 percent franchisee outlets in 16 states all over India. The company is looking at offering the best of fashion and quality, targeting states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and part of North East. In a way, Cantabil’s plan for retail expansion is an added business opportunity for the signage companies whose activities involve in in-store branding and signage projects.
