Gaining 52 percent in its air-conditioner sales from smaller towns, Blue Star is planning to increase its distribution footprint in this market in the states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra and North-East. The company currently has a reach across 4,500 stores, of which 2,000 are in tier III, IV and V towns. It is now planning to take up the count to 3,500 touch points in smaller towns, expecting to double its revenues from this market. Besides, there are going to be more exclusive brand shops run by franchises. The retail domain is now surging with the opening new brand stores. This shows new business opportunity for the signage companies whose activities involve in in-store branding and related projects.
