Bata profit zooms, plans expansion in II and III Tier markets

Bata India’s net profit rose 685.70 percent to Rs 110 crore for the quarter ended March 31 from Rs 14 crore in the same period a year ago. The company is also bullish on the expansion of the Hush Puppies brand with four new stores set up during the quarter. With a store count of 1,200 across 500 cities in India, Bata is seeking to expand its presence further in tier II and tier III markets. So, the mega expansion plan of the company will bring in a new business to the  companies  dealing with in-store displays and others in the sector.
