Barista Lavazza, the Indian subsidiary of Italian coffee giant Lavazza, is in talks with Reliance Industries to open new outlets in their A1 plazas across the country. The company, which at present has about 232 espresso bars and crème outlets, plans to open 100 more outlets per year for the next three years. Talks are going on with RIL to open new outlets in their plazas on highways. RIL owns 107 such plazas and three locations—Bangalore-Chennai, Delhi-Jaipur and Delhi-Agra highways—have already been finalised. The new entry of Barista outlets will drive signage companies to find new business opportunities on newer locations.
