South African restaurant chain Barcelos is getting aggressive in the Indian market, with plans to add one restaurant every six weeks for the next five years. The company is targeting a turnover of about Rs 200 crore in the next 4-5 years. The restaurant chain, which has presence in 18 countries, entered India about 10 months back with its first outlet at Khan Market in New Delhi, and followed it up with the launch of its second restaurant at Hauz Khas Village recently. The company is planning to open about 5-6 outlets in the next 90 days, aiming at about 40 outlets in five years. This is indeed a big business opportunity for the signage companies dealing in in-shop displays, branding and related tasks.
