Audi to open more outlets, eying for number 1 market position

Auto heavyweight Audi reported a 100-plus percent jump in sales to 510 units, as against 250 units in the month-ago period, encouraging them to ramp up their dealership network and hire more personnel. In an attempt to upstage the current No 1, BMW is on an aggressive expansion spree, with plans to increase their dealership to 25 by 2012. They are also looking to enhance their portfolio with the launch of the Q3 (model) next year. Mercedes is a close second, and planning ahead, intend to bring in nine to ten brands in the next three years. Such move in the auto sector will boost business of the signage companies engaging in in-shop displays and others.
