To promote tea tourism an exclusive one stop centre ‘Assam Chai Bar’ (The Tea Room) of the various Assam tea will be set up in Guwahati for the first time in the North East region. The exclusive retail sales counter of authentic Assam Tea and a lounge bar for consumption of brewed tea was a project initiated by the GTAC in collaboration with the North Eastern Tea Association (NETA), Assam Tea Planters Association (ATPA) and Bharatiya Cha Parishad(BCP). The Bar will also have audio-visual facilities to show the process of tea manufacturing. This new format brew corner will be an added advantage for the signage companies whose main business revolved around the retail sector.
