After D.PES Sign Expo China 2020, another signage expo, APPPEXPO 2020 has been postponed because of the sudden and fierce coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan and spreading across China and other countries. APPPEXPO 2020, which is concurrently held with the 28th Shanghai Int’l Ad & Sign Technology and Equipment Exhibition, Shanghai Int’l Digital Textile Printing Expo, Shanghai Int’ l Express Printing & Graphic Expo, Shanghai Int’l Lighting Expo and the relevant activities, was scheduled to organise from March 4-7,2020 at NECC, Shanghai. At the beginning of Chinese New Year, the outbreak of pneumonia caused by coronavirus (2019-nCoV) was sudden and fierce. In this severe situation, all provinces and cities in China have initiated a first-level response to major public health emergencies and cancelled all large-scale events.
The outbreak of this epidemic and related governmental instructions constitute force majeure, since the circumstances are unforeseeable, unavoidable and insurmountable. In such situation, carrying out APPPEXPO 2020 would also have been unreasonable under the current circumstances. That’s why the expo has been postponed in accordance to the circular of Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and Shanghai Municipal People’s Government on further strengthening the prevention and control of pneumonia caused by new coronavirus infection. APPPEXPO Committee conveys regret for the inconvenience caused by the exhibition’s postponement. The committee will keep close communication with relevant departments to determine the latest dates for the expo in accordance to the development of the situation. The committee is in contact with the exhibitors and visitors. For further information, contact: Eveline Luo at: evelinelxf@apppexpo.com or Carol Liu at: viainfo@apppexpo.com.
