Bullish on India, Apple CEO Tim Cook has said that the online store has received a tremendous response in the country and they are now planning to open physical retail stores. The company has doubled its India smartphone share to 4 percent in the December quarter and the company is ready to launch retail stores in the country in near future. Apple, which has already started manufacturing certain iPhone models in India, has worked out locations for its retail stores in the country as well. Apple is likely to open its first physical store in Mumbai this year, according to earlier reports. Apple currently has third-party reseller outlets to sell its range of devices in India. Opening of Apple’s own retail stores in India is a new business opportunity for the signage companies engaging in in-store branding, design and such retail projects.
