Apollo plans to increase its pharmacy outlets to over 2000

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd is planning to expand its pharmacy retail network to over 2,000 outlets, from the current around 1,300 outlets, in the next three to four years. While it was focusing on growth in terms of number of outlets earlier, the company has also started focusing on EBITDA growth. The company mentioned that around 5,000 to 10,000 outlets would be a critical mass, but they are aiming at 2,000 plus pharmacy outlets in next three to four years. Such gradual expansion in the retail segment will bring a respite to the signage companies dealing in extensive designs, displays and others for in-shop signage.
