Amante, which sells under the ‘Amante’ brand, says it forayed into India as it was a billion people market with a booming middle class, and just 20 km from our shore. The company, after retailing through various multi-brand stores, is launching its first standalone store by October 2015. It plans to set up 20 stores with an estimated investment of Rs two crore per store. The company has introduced a line-up in the Rs 600 bracket to tap into the mass category. And they have debuted several products to cater to this segment. The Rs 600 range will be an entry point to try out the company’s products and opening such high-end outlet will be an added business opportunity for the signage companies whose inclusive activities revolve around in-shop designs, displays, branding, and other related activities.
