General Motors (GM) India will open 300 sales points and an equal number of service outlets in the country by 2013. Focus of the company is on opening new facilities in Tier-II and Tier-III cities. The demand has increased in the semi-urban and rural areas as a result of increased economic activities. GM sells its cars under the Chevrolet brand in India. The Chevrolet portfolio includes the Chevrolet Captiva, Chevrolet Optra, Chevrolet Cruze, Chevrolet Aveo, Chevrolet Aveo U-VA, Chevrolet Spark, Chevrolet Beat and Chevrolet Tavera. Expansion drive of GM India will offer a fresh business opportunity to the signage companies engaging in showroom displays, branding and other related activities.
