McDonalds India plans to open up to 50 outlets per year to cross the 250-outlet market in West and South India in the next three years. With the existing 140 outlets in West and South India, it would touch 160 by this year-end. There are plans to open 35-50 outlets per year, crossing 250-mark in three years time with a total investment of Rs 500 crore, he said. Talking about the expansion plans for Tamil Nadu alone, the company aims to open about 30-35 stores in 3-4 years and hire nearly 2,000-2,500 employees in entire South India. Such a big boost of the global restaurant chain would bring in a fresh business opportunity for the signage companies dealing in the restaurant or in-store display tasks.
