Italian fashion major Benetton is looking to double the number of its stores to about 850 in India in the next five years. The move of the company is made inn its attempt to tap the growing market which is among its top five globally. At present, Benetton has over 425 franchisee stores in India and the number is likely to double in the aforementioned period. The brand has been present in India for the last 20 years, but most of the expansion in terms of new stores has happened in the last 5-6 years. Benetton’s expansion plan will be an added advantage for the signage companies engaging in in-shop branding, displays, POP signs, etc.
