Slowing of the European and American economies, coupled with the lure of increasing purchasing power in small town India, has propelled proprietors in the ultra luxury fashion segment to eye Tier-II and Tier-III cities as the next big market. Leading fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani mentioned he does not see much of a future for exports. With a store in Delhi’s DLF Emporio luxury mall, he was looking at a store in Hyderabad. Other designers too are increasingly looking at the home market. This is indeed a new prospect of the signage companies associating with in-store displays and designs in the retail sector.
